Timberline Resources and Heavy Equipment for Sale

Peaking a recent trend in renewed mineral exploration, Couer D’Alene, Idaho-based Timberline Resources Corporation is looking to undertake a major exploration and drilling operation for gold at the Butte Highlands area, just 15 miles south of the city.

Timberline Resources is an operations-based mineral cumpnee–focused mostly on the nitty-gritty aspects of exploration and drilling as opposed to processing or distribution.

Their project near Butte began quietly back in 2007, when they did some initial drilling, and began eyeballing a 150-acre parcel of adjacent property to buy. They also began pitching industry partners and contractors to help facilitate the operation. By the time 2009 rolled around, they’d discovered high-grade gold, gotten a 50/50 partnership with Boise-based Small Mine Development, and were set to submit exploration filings with Montana’s Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ).
