The engine was manufactured in 1989 and all preventive maintenance for the engines and auxiliaries were all done by Wartsila Philippines. The engine is very well maintained and parts are all original Wartsila and recently underwent 80,000H PMS, wherein the engine had been practically placed to ZERO HOUR. This is one of the best small plants operated in the Philippines considering that it was previously owned by Unilever, a multinational company.

Mining Equipment: Major South African gold mining company Harmony sees the Free State assets it bought from Pamodzi Gold to produce around 100 000 oz over the next 12 months with its purchased mining equipment. Harmony said that it is expecting production from the Steyn 1, Steyn 2 and Lorraine 3 shafts to 150 000 oz in the second 12-month period. During the past few months, Harmony conducted preproduction work at the Pamodzi shafts to make the operations safe and return them to production.

Mining Equipment: Nebu Resources Inc. continues drilling on its Denton Township projects adjacent to properties held by Lakeshore Gold Mines Inc., approximately 30 kilometers southwest of Timmins, Ontario since they resumed in December 2009, in the area of high-grade gold mineralization reported in its November 30, 2009 press release, to continue evaluation of this area of gold mineralization.While the latter intersection is deeper, it should be noted that this intersection is still less than 120 metres below surface, whereas much of Lakeshore Gold’s recent success has resulted from drilling holes to depths of more than 700 metres vertically.

The three properties, Central Catharine, Link-Catharine, and the 80-Foot-Fall property are located within the Boston-Skead gold belt of northeastern Ontario. This crescent-shaped gold belt is 25 km south of the still productive Kirkland Lake gold belt that has yielded 24 million ounces of gold in the past century of mining. Gold mineralization in this belt occurs with quartz, quartz-sulphide veins and veinlets in Archean volcanic rocks that have been intruded by granitic batholiths.
For the Link-Catharine area lying centrally between the other two properties, the most recent exploration work within the package of properties was conducted in 2008 and 2009. Highlights include 3.55g/t gold over 3 m and 3.26 g/t gold over 1.2 m in hole DDH CAT 08-22, and 1.01g/t gold over 10 m and 2.65 g/t gold over 3.4 m in DDH CAT 08-04, and 17.5g/t gold over 1 m in DDH CAT 09-02. Together with values of 6.00g/t over 8.6 m and 1.91g/t gold over 20.4 m from hole 99-4, and encouraging gold values from numerous other holes within a broad target area, the results suggest an extensive zone of gold mineralization that warrants concerted continued evaluation for gold deposits.
Used Construction Equipment: In a press release, JCB and Volvo Construction Equipment (STO:VOLVA) (STO:VOLVB) said they have entered into a framework agreement under which they will cooperate on the engineering and manufacturing of skid steer loader and compact tracked loader products for distribution under their respective brands and through their respective global dealer networks. It is envisaged that the first mono boom Volvo branded machines will be in production at JCB’s Savannah, Georgia facility by year end 2010. Volvo Construction Equipment will then transition skid steer loader models over time from its Pederneiras facility in Brazil.
Heavy Equipment for Sale: Philex Mining Corporation reported that its Padcal mine delivered ore worth P805 million in January this year, an 8% improvement over the P745 million worth of ore mined in the same month of 2009. In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, Philex president Jose Ernesto Villaluna Jr. said Philex delivered 684,459 dry metric tons of ore resulting in 4,705 DMT of concentrates.
The concentrates contained 55.17 grams per DMT of gold, 24.96% copper and 57.09 grams per DMT of silver or about 8,354 ounces of gold, 2.59 million pounds of copper, and 8,636 ounces of silver.
In January last year, Philex produced 752,261 DMT of ore resulting in 6,122 DMT of copper concentrates averaging 61.6 grams per DMT of gold, 23.81% copper, and 60.03 grams per DMT of silver or about 12,134 ounces of gold, 3.21 million pounds of copper, and 11,817 ounces of silver.

It is located 30km north-east of Kroonstad, in the free-state province of South Africa. The tenure of the mine is 12-16 years, including activities such as pre-stripping, ramp-up production and closure. The mine is expected to have a full capacity production of 800,000 carats per year. The company ramped up production levels from 60,000 carats in October 2008. Over ten million carats are expected to be generated during the life of the mine.
