Used Mining Equipment for Sale: Niobium and Tantalum Mining Project

The Anita project in Lac Saint-Jean region of Quebec, Canada is a niobium and tantalum mining project. The project is currently in the metallurgy testing stage as MSloane Consulting continues to provide used mining equipment for sale to mining projects worldwide. The potential to operate the mine as an open pit mine for 18 years is also being assessed. Preliminary ore flow sheet designs for the open pit, flotation plant, lixiviation processes and other mining infrastructure have been completed.

The mine contains approximately 25.75mt of indicated reserves to a depth of 250m. An additional 16.88mt of inferred resources are estimated between 250m and 350m. The reserves stated at an assumed cut-off grade of 1,000g/t Nb.

Over 40% Will Rather Buy Used Construction Equipment in 2010 and Not Buy New Equipment

The Transportation Construction Coalition’s just released a survey showing that 81.2 percent of 527 transportation contractor respondents said that they will not buy new construction equipment in 2010. A contractor on the teleconference that announced the survey said that, "We'd rather buy used construction equipment, than buy new ones." Also, another contractor put this figure in prospective: “We have 60 percent of our equipment parked in our yard with nothing to do,” said Dean Word, president, Dean Word Construction, New Braunfels, Texas. “We are not spending money on new equipment. If we find we have a particular need for specialty equipment, we’ll lease it and then send it back.”

The park will be a major showcase for Shanghai, the mainland’s main financial and commercial centre. The city is in the middle of a construction boom ahead of the World Expo, which will open on May 1.
